About the Author

Celaine Charles is a multi-genre author who lives in the Pacific Northwest where she teaches elementary school by day. By night, she writes fantasy fiction, poetry, contemporary romance shorts, and blogs about her writing journey on Steps In Between.

What keeps this artist going?

  • Lots of love and support from her family, friends, and an extensive writing community

With regaurds to her writing critique group, the PNWA, Storyteller Academy, her freelance editor Christine Grabowski, publishing editor Eilidh MacKenzie from The Wild Rose Press, and publishing editor Tess Jones from Egret Lake Books, not to mention her amazing beta-readers.

  • Motivation

Fueled by allergy-free dark chocolate, coconut milk lattes, and a cozy writing desk. When Celaine isn’t writing, she is usually reading, watching movies, or hiking and walking in her beautiful home of Washington State. She takes a million pictures on every venture, as nature is always her muse.

  • Giving Back

For the last five years she’s led poetry workshops in PTSA-funded school visits to celebrate National Poetry Month. She loves helping writers of any age or stage in their writing process.
